Acceptable use policy
Effective date: July 11, 2026 · Last updated: July 11, 2026
The short version
Use Swanvista as a person tracking their own money: one account, your own linked accounts, normal human usage. Do not scrape it, resell the data that flows through it, probe its security, or use it to break the law.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Swanvista Terms of Service and applies to all use of the Service. Violating it is a material breach of the Terms.
2. Accounts
- One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts, share an account, or sell, rent, or transfer an account.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
- Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
3. Linked financial accounts
- Only connect bank, brokerage, or crypto accounts that you own or are legally authorized to access. Linking someone else's account without authority is prohibited and may be unlawful.
- Do not abuse account connections — for example, by triggering excessive refresh or sync requests, automating connection flows, or attempting to use the Service's read-only connections for any purpose other than viewing your own data in the Service.
- Do not attempt to extract, intercept, or misuse connection credentials or access tokens.
4. Market data and content
Security prices, fundamentals, dividend data, logos, and the analytics the Service computes are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use within the Service. You may export your own data for your own records. You may not:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service, whether manually or with bots, crawlers, or scripts.
- Redistribute, republish, resell, or commercially exploit market data, quotes, fundamentals, or Service analytics — including feeding them into another product, dataset, or service.
- Use automated or bulk access methods (including headless clients or reverse-engineered API calls) against the Service. The Service has no public API; if you want programmatic access, ask us first.
- Frame, mirror, or copy any part of the Service.
5. Integrity and security
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, circumvent authentication, rate limits, or other protections, or access data belonging to another user.
- Do not interfere with the Service's operation — no denial-of-service, load testing, malware, or attempts to disrupt the infrastructure the Service runs on.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Good-faith security research is welcome through responsible disclosure: report findings to security@swanvista.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix them before any public disclosure.
6. Unlawful use
Do not use the Service in violation of any law or regulation, or to facilitate fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any other unlawful activity. Do not use the Service to track assets you are concealing from a person or authority legally entitled to know about them.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy, remove offending activity, and report unlawful conduct to law enforcement. Where practical we will notify you and, unless the violation prevents it, give you an opportunity to export your data. Questions about whether a use is permitted: support@swanvista.com.
